Depuis son introduction en 1951, le M 49 est considéré comme le microphone de studio par excellence. Avec son diagramme polaire télécommandé en continu, il a révolutionné la technologie des studios et possède un son  incomparablement soyeux. Il a procédé à  d’innombrables enregistrements, du jazz des années 1950 aux sommets des charts d’aujourd’hui. En conséquence, le M 49 est très demandé non seulement par les collectionneurs, mais également en tant qu’outil d’enregistrement essentiel : A l’ère du numérique, ce microphone est encore plus recherché grâce à sa signature acoustique unique.

Neumann ressort donc une nouvelle édition de ce microphone légendaire disponible sous le nom de M 49 V.

Le M 49 V est une réédition selon les spécifications originales et les documents de conception des archives Neumann. Il utilise le même circuit que la dernière et la plus populaire révision historique, le M 49 c, mais avec un tube subminiature encore plus faible et sélectionné à la main. Lors de nos tests sur le terrain, même des experts renommés en microphones n’ont pu détecter aucune différence de son. En timbre et comportement dynamique, le M 49 V est identique à un M 49 historique en excellent état. Le circuit et la conception acoustique ont été repris du M 49 c. Et le composant le plus important, la capsule classique à large diaphragme K 49, a été fabriqué par Neumann sans changement depuis les années 1950.

Des améliorations de détail ont été apportées à l’unité de contrôle de modèle, qui s’adapte désormais automatiquement à la tension du secteur et est également compatible avec les anciens microphones M 49. Au lieu de l’ancien connecteur à baïonnette, le M 49 V utilise le connecteur étanche RF de la version de diffusion historique M 249. De plus, le M 49 V peut être configuré via des commutateurs internes, soit comme option sur mesure, soit comme poste -ventes par Neumann Service.
