Je travaille chez Xilam depuis un peu plus de 3 ans. Je suis le DSI (Directeur des systèmes d’information) du groupe, c’est-à-dire que je gère tout l’environnement informatique de Xilam. Nous avons 4 studios en France; Paris, Lyon, Angoulême et Levallois Perret et un studio au Vietnam ! J’ai des adjoints sur la partie plus spécifique de post production audio et video.

QUELLE EST L’ACTIVITÉ PRINCIPALE DE XILAM ?

La création, l’animation 2D, 3D et la diffusion de contenus animés principalement des dessins animés, des films courts et des longs métrages notamment « J’ai perdu mon corps » mais aussi des dessins animés historiques comme « Zig et Sharko; Oggy et les cafards » et « ratz » pour n’en citer que quelques-uns.

XILAM TRAVAILLE AVEC DID DEPUIS FIN 2020, QU’EST CE QUI A MOTIVE TA DECISION ?

A mon arrivée chez Xilam nous avions beaucoup de fournisseurs et de prestataires. C’est primordial pour moi de connaître mes partenaires. Nous avions un prestataire historique en post production mais ce n’était pas un partenaire . J’avais besoin d’échanger en confiance. J’ai donc lancé un appel d’offres après avoir consulté AVID, et j’ai sélectionné 3 distributeurs AVID dont DID.
Après négociation, in fine seul DID a su créer un véritable partenariat avec Xilam. Nous ne souhaitions pas avoir simplement la fourniture d’équipements mais une relation avec une véritable dimension humaine. DID a fait les efforts nécessaires pour créer cette confiance et aujourd’hui nous avons un partenaire avec lequel nous pouvons nous projeter à long terme !

Je considère qu’un problème peut ne pas se régler immédiatement en revanche la prise en charge doit être immédiate et DID a toujours réagi dans les meilleurs délais !

Avid NEXIS est un stockage centralisé qui répond parfaitement à nos attentes. C’est un produit très fiable, robuste et son utilisation est très appréciée chez Xilam pour sa convivialité et sa sécurité d’exploitation.

QUEL EST TON POINT DE VUE SUR LA SAUVEGARDE DES MÉDIAS ET L’ARCHIVAGE EN GÉNÉRAL; ES-TU SATISFAIT DE LA SOLUTION ARCHIWARE P5 DE SYNCHRONISATION ?

Oui nous avons créé avec nos équipes une synchronisation des médias entre notre Nexis principal et un Nexis secondaire (Back up). Ainsi en cas de défaillance de notre serveur principal, nous pouvons continuer à travailler. Le média est notre trésor, et c’est notre activité principale; la solution P5 nous permet de garantir cette pérennité de données. La solution P5 est quasi automatique, avec remontée de logs et checksum ! Les sauvegardes sont parfaites donc effectivement je suis très satisfait par P5. Aussi la mise en place a été aisée. Nous avons désormais une redondance de nos médias et la tranquillité d’esprit sur la sauvegarde de notre patrimoine.
